I’m also working on a GTK/GNOME application to process scans (see right). Scan as fast as you can; all the scans get put into the table and added to a message queue. A separate thread looks up information about the scan in the background, updating the display as it goes. It will save in various formats (once I finish implementing it), and re-open some formats. It will allow you to select an item and copy all of its information to the clipboard (well, it will soon). If you have any ideas about what you’d like to see in an app like this, write me!
